About the role
The Laboratory Manager oversees all laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining high-quality experimental results.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily laboratory activities including sample preparation, data analysis, and quality control procedures.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is functioning properly and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient resource allocation.
- Train and mentor junior laboratory staff members.
- Prepare and present regular reports on laboratory performance and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as biology, chemistry, or related sciences.
- Minimum 5 years of laboratory management experience.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., FDA, GLP).
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Proficiency in laboratory instrumentation and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
