Laboratory Manager

About the role

This position oversees the hospital laboratory in a critical access setting, providing leadership and operational management to ensure safe, accurate, and timely laboratory services.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational management for laboratory services
• Ensure safe, accurate, and timely laboratory services
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CMS, state, and institutional regulations
• Manage administrative, quality, technical, and personnel aspects of the laboratory
• Maintain survey readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science
• 3–5 years of progressive laboratory experience
• Supervisory or management background preferred
• Experience in rural or critical access hospital labs strongly preferred
• Eligible for national certification as MLS/MT (e.g., ASCP, AMT)
• Ability to work in Wisconsin

Schedule

• Combination of administrative and bench responsibilities
• Rotating shifts, including days, weekends, and on-call duties
