Laboratory Manager

About the Role

Atria is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for our in-office laboratory in West Palm Beach. This position will oversee the collection, processing, and testing of in-office orders of waived and moderate complexity assays, interaction with partner labs for send-out of high complexity testing, and maintain of the laboratory with a focus on compliance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and regulatory oversight of the laboratory
• Ensure compliance with CLIA and FL DoH regulations and standards
• Verify test procedures and monitor performance criteria, including accuracy and precision
• Enroll and participate in proficiency testing programs
• Maintain and employ the quality control program
• Resolve technical problems and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Identify training needs and ensure regular in-service training for testing personnel
• Evaluate the competency, proficiency, and confidence of all testing personnel
• Oversee the process of collection, preparation, and submission of testing to external partner labs
• Prepare samples and perform waived and moderate complexity testing
• Maintain inventory and interact with purchasing and finance as needed

Requirements

• Extensive documentation experience, including maintenance of records, the creation of forms and documents to support operations, and a record of review/audit experience
• Pristiced and successful history of problem resolution through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and Change Management
• Demonstrable capabilities as a bench tech in Hematology and Chemistry
• Deep understanding of test orders, requisitions, specimen preparation, accessioning, and data flows from LIMS to EMR
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Certification with ASCP or similar is a preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Biological or Chemical sciences, Clinical Science, or related field
