Laboratory Assistant I

About the role

Performs research activities and other tasks in a laboratory environment. Responsibilities include conducting lab analyses (such as physical testing) of pesticide products, recording observations and measurements, creating reports and documents using templates, and cleaning and maintaining laboratories and equipment. Additional duties involve calibrations of balances and other infrastructure tasks, as well as assisting laboratory colleagues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab analyses, including physical testing of pesticide products.
• Record observations and measurements accurately.
• Create reports and other documents using provided templates.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratories and equipment.
• Conduct calibrations of balances and other infrastructure tasks.
• Assist other laboratory colleagues as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a science field (chemistry preferred).
• General laboratory skills required.
• Must fully follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work with or without direct supervision and independently as needed.
• Previous experience generating data in a US EPA GLP (Good Laboratory Practice regulatory standards) environment is desirable.

Pay

$19.67 per hour.
