Labor Representative — Monterey and Salinas Area

About the role

The California Nurses Association (CNA)/National Nurses United (NNU) seeks a skilled Labor Representative to address workplace issues and build power among nurses in the Monterey and Salinas area.

Responsibilities

• All matters related to collective bargaining
• Compiling, analyzing, interpreting and presenting pertinent data
• Aiding in contract negotiations
• Processing grievances and conducting arbitrations
• Representing nurses in employment-related problems
• Extensive travel to cover hospital facilities

Requirements/Qualifications

• Insatiable work ethic and drive to create systemic change
• Demonstrated success at contract enforcement
• Prior experience as a full-time Labor Representative a plus
• Effectiveness in organizing membership participation
• Developing rank and file leadership

Salary and Benefits

Competitive salary depending on experience $70,332-$188,796, and outstanding benefits offered, including comprehensive family health & dental plan, and generous pension.
