BakerHostetler is seeking a Montana-admitted, senior-level attorney (7-8 years of experience) to join its Labor and Employment Group as a member of its Denver office. Our team counsels employers on federal, state, and local employment and traditional labor issues. Qualifications Include Experience counseling employers on federal, state, and local employment and traditional labor law matters, including wage and hour compliance, employee classification and exemption issues, workplace investigations, workforce restructuring, leaves and accommodations, restrictive covenants, independent contractor issues, privacy, and other employment-related matters. Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on employment-related policies, handbooks, and agreements, including compensation and benefits policies, workplace conduct and harassment policies, privacy policies, employment agreements, separation agreements, noncompetition agreements, confidentiality and proprietary information agreements, independent contractor agreements, and vendor contracts. Experience representing employers before federal and state administrative agencies, including responding to agency investigations, audits, and enforcement actions, and conducting internal compliance and wage and hour audits. Experience defending employers in federal and state courts and in arbitration proceedings involving a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, leave and accommodation claims, wage and hour disputes, restrictive covenant matters, and related employment litigation. Experience handling litigation matters through all phases of a case, including drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery and document production, taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, and developing case strategy. Am Law 100 law firm experience is preferred. A strong academic record and a J.D. from an accredited law school. Must be admitted to practice law in Montana and at least one of these jurisdictions: California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Location: This position is in Denver, CO. Salary The expected annual salary range for this position is $315,000 - $340,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, education/training, and relevant skills. Associates also participate in a performance- and hours-based bonus program.
