About the role

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join its Seattle office. This is a non-partnership track position ideal for an attorney who wants sophisticated employment litigation work, strong institutional support, and long-term stability within a premier platform.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a broad range of employment litigation and counseling matters from early case assessment through resolution
  • Develop and manage discovery strategy
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and substantive legal memoranda
  • Conduct employee and client intake
  • Prepare and manage agency complaints and administrative matters
  • Draft separation and employment agreements
  • Conduct workplace investigations and related counseling
  • Handle traditional labor matters, depending on experience
  • Advise clients on employment-related risk and compliance issues

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of prior employment litigation experience
  • Strong litigation writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Experience managing discovery and substantive case responsibilities
  • Exposure to traditional labor matters is a plus
  • Experience drafting agency complaints, separation agreements, or other employment-related agreements is highly desirable
  • Excellent academic credentials and professional references
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong judgment and client-service skills
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Currently licensed in Washington or eligible to become licensed in Washington

Pay

Base Salary: $135,000–$275,000 per year. An hours-based bonus opportunity is also available.
