About the role
A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join its Seattle office. This is a non-partnership track position ideal for an attorney who wants sophisticated employment litigation work, strong institutional support, and long-term stability within a premier platform.
Responsibilities
- Handle a broad range of employment litigation and counseling matters from early case assessment through resolution
- Develop and manage discovery strategy
- Draft pleadings, motions, and substantive legal memoranda
- Conduct employee and client intake
- Prepare and manage agency complaints and administrative matters
- Draft separation and employment agreements
- Conduct workplace investigations and related counseling
- Handle traditional labor matters, depending on experience
- Advise clients on employment-related risk and compliance issues
Requirements
- 5–10 years of prior employment litigation experience
- Strong litigation writing, research, and analytical skills
- Experience managing discovery and substantive case responsibilities
- Exposure to traditional labor matters is a plus
- Experience drafting agency complaints, separation agreements, or other employment-related agreements is highly desirable
- Excellent academic credentials and professional references
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Strong judgment and client-service skills
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Currently licensed in Washington or eligible to become licensed in Washington
Pay
Base Salary: $135,000–$275,000 per year. An hours-based bonus opportunity is also available.
