Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - Days

About the role

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

Responsibilities

• Care for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in the plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates the plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares the room environment.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS NRP
• At least 6 months RN Labor & Delivery experience or previous RN experience in Maternal/Neonatal Health
• Associates Degree in Nursing
• At least 1 year of RN Labor & Delivery experience is strongly preferred

• Status: Full Time, Exempt: No
• Shift Hours: 6:45AM - 7:15PM
• Shift: Shift 1 (Days)
• Weekend Work: Every Other
