Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including but not limited to employment contracts, wage and hour laws, workplace safety, discrimination, and harassment claims.
  • Represent the organization in labor and employment disputes, including mediations, arbitrations, and litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.
  • Draft, review, and revise employment policies, procedures, and agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues, and provide proactive legal advice and solutions to mitigate legal risks.
  • Negotiate and resolve labor disputes and grievances, and provide legal support in collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Deliver training and workshops to management and employees on labor and employment law topics.
  • Stay informed of developments in labor and employment law, and advise management on potential impacts to the organization.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in CA , within driving distance of Burbank is ideal.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Labor and Employment Attorney, with a track record of effectively handling labor and employment matters.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, dispute resolution, and arbitration skills.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and business-friendly legal advice.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
