Lab Technician (Entry) - 2nd shift

About the role

The ideal candidate will support daily laboratory activities by overseeing general operations and maintaining a clean, organized, and orderly workspace.

Responsibilities

• Receive and organize incoming samples
• Maintain adequate labware inventory
• Prepare buffers and reagents
• Troubleshoot and operate equipment used in genotyping production
• Review and update task-related documentation
• Rotate across all three laboratory areas: Chipping, Extraction, and Detection
• Understand and follow Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and workflow guidelines
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Manage multiple tasks and work effectively with more than one supervisor
• Interface with other functions such as system support teams and research personnel
• Complete training that may occur outside normal work hours, depending on training personnel availability

Pay

Pay range: $19–$23 per hour, depending on experience
