Lab Technician

About the role

As a Lab Technician, you will test and inspect products at various stages of the production process to ensure quality and reliability. You will directly impact Community Coffee's promise to deliver the best tasting premium coffee to customers.

Responsibilities

• Tests products at specified stages in production process and tests products for variety of quality characteristics
• Records test data
• Evaluates data and communicates effectively any deviations from existing standards
• Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics
• Enters data into computer for analysis
• Familiar with State and Federal regulatory requirements as relates to Food Safety
• Responsible for sanitation and safety of work area and maintenance of equipment in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, AIB (American Institute of Baking) Consolidated Standards of Food Safety, and GFSI requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
• May be requested to perform different or additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent required
• Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent
• Four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in food manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Familiar with Quality Assurance, Statistical, and mechanical terminology
