Lab Technician 5am-1:30pm

Responsible for

• Regulatory assistance
• Recordkeeping
• Systems control
• General lab duties

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter

• Quality and appearance of the product
• State requested pathogen sampling
• Equipment and environmental swabbing
• Pasteurizer timing/sealing scheduling including assisting inspectors
• Bulk chemical concentration mixing
• Pest control monitoring including assisting PCO
• Maintain charts making sure they are in compliance with State and associated records
• Chemical inventory and ordering
• COA recordkeeping and distribution
• Calibration of thermometers and charting thermometers
• Do CIP systems audits
• General relief lab duties, including using FT 120, cleaning of work area, washing glassware, using the distiller and cheese grinding
• State required water sampling
• Aid chemical representatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient in use of the computer
• Solid organizational, analytical problem solving, and communication skills
• Maintain good sanitation and housekeeping of work areas
• Compliance to Saputo Food Safety policies
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and standard operating procedures
• Ability to appropriately handle and use cleaning chemicals

Starting Wage and Hours

$28.61 per hour. Hours are 5am-1:30pm with weekend rotation.
