Lab Tech I -Microbiology

About the role

The Lab Technologist will process and analyze patient samples, monitor Quality Control (QC), ensure all instruments are maintained properly, and report patient results in their department.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze patient samples
• Maintain and monitor Quality Control (QC)
• Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory instruments
• Report patient results accurately

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological or Chemical Science or MLT Certification
• Candidates must provide official transcripts and a copy of their diploma upon hire
• No previous professional experience required, but prior clinical experience is desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and teamwork
• Pass a colorblindness test
• Work in an environment containing biohazards, toxic chemicals, pungent odors, corrosive acids, noise, sharp objects, and other hazards

• Must be able to work in a laboratory setting
• Must comply with laboratory safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment
