About the Role
This position operates on a schedule of Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with some weekend work required.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision through regular attendance and punctuality.
- Follows management system requirements, including Quality Manual, SOPs, Local Work Instructions, and Methods to ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC and government regulatory requirements.
- Adheres to all health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Registers incoming samples and maintains accurate records of work performed for quality control or regulatory purposes.
- Enters sample data into the Eurofins eLIMS system accurately and promptly.
- Completes laboratory testing on incoming samples efficiently, ensuring turnaround time goals are met or exceeded.
- Verifies and submits results to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Identifies process difficulties and reports them with proposed solutions to supervisors.
- Maintains readiness to respond to client, staff, and co-worker queries and needs.
- Fosters cooperative working relationships with all employees through clear oral and written communication.
- Promotes the company’s image through ethical business practices.
- Strives to improve work quality through existing and new technologies.
- Identifies non-conformances and out-of-specifications.
- Conducts all activities safely and efficiently.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
- Attention to detail and ability to complete work in a timely manner.
- Works well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficient in the use of eLIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Responsive problem solver and action-oriented.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, including some repetitive motion.
- Occasional reaching with hands and arms.
