About the Role
The Aggregate Tester is responsible for testing volume, weight, density, moisture, compaction, air void, and content of aggregate/road materials. This position covers the Northern Region (North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, & Wyoming). This is an hourly, full-time, non-exempt position that includes the use of a company vehicle or vehicle lease option and requires extensive overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Collect material samples on job sites
- Test material samples to ensure product needs meet the specifications for the project
- Work with job foreman to ensure material is being produced to required specifications
- Communicate sample results with Fisher Sand & Gravel management and project owner's representatives
- Measure stockpiles
- Assist crew with setup, teardown, and operation of plant
- Prospect for new aggregate sources
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Requires extensive overnight travel
- Good math and computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
