Aggregate Lab Technician

River Asphalt, LLC is seeking an Aggregate Technician to perform laboratory tests to determine physical characteristics or composition of solid materials for quality control, process control, or product development.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as fine and coarse aggregate shakers, ovens, washers, balance scales, and other equipment.
• Collect and test samples of quarried products to verify conformity to specifications.
• Perform tests including but not limited to sieve analysis, wash test, crush count, and unit weight.
• Record test results on standardized forms and write test reports describing procedures used.
• Clean laboratory equipment and calibrate laboratory instruments.

Requirements

• Level 1 certification preferred, but will train if needed.
