Role Overview: The Lab Support Technician I is a vital member of the provider care team, supporting laboratory operations through specimen collection, processing, data entry, reporting, and scheduling. Key Responsibilities: Perform accurate and professional specimen collection using safe techniques while maintaining confidentiality.Handle, transport, and refer laboratory specimens and reports efficiently.Support administrative tasks, data entry, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and lab policies.Deliver excellent customer service to patients, providers, and coworkers.Complete departmental training and competency assessments under supervision.Contribute to a culture of teamwork, quality, and patient-centered care. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent.BLS certification within six months.Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.Preferred: coursework in sciences, prior lab experience, specimen collection skills.
