About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our team in Holyoke, MA. This position assists in supervising day-to-day operations, leading the team in daily processes, and ensuring efficient and accurate specimen handling.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supervision of day-to-day operations of the department
  • Lead the team in their daily processes and procedures
  • Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
  • Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas
  • Encourage process improvements and best practices
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Resolve production errors as requested by management; research and escalate when necessary
  • Engage in continuous process and service level improvements
  • Enforce and manage policies and procedures
  • Perform administrative duties as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 or more years of experience in a laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing, or warehouse environment
  • Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree
  • 6 months or more of experience in a clinical laboratory
  • 6 months or more of supervising or leading a team

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM

Pay

$23-$27/hour + shift differential. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
