About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our team in Dublin, OH. This position involves assisting in the supervision of day-to-day department operations, leading the team in daily processes, and ensuring efficient and accurate specimen handling and routing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of day-to-day operations of the department.
• Lead the team in their daily processes and procedures.
• Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas.
• Encourage process improvements and best practices.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Resolve production errors as requested by management; research and escalate when necessary.
• Engage in continuous process and service-level improvements.
• Enforce and manage policies and procedures.
• Perform administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 or more years of experience in a laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
• Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
• Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree.
• 6 months or more of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• 6 months or more of supervising or leading a team.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM (rotating weekends).

Pay

$20.00 - $23.75 per hour, plus shift differential. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
