Lab Lead Support Services - Processing Department

Responsibilities

• Coordinates workflow related to all aspects of laboratory support services.
• Processes specimens and performs phlebotomy duties as needed.
• Maintains and troubleshoots sample and customer issues.
• Ensures all testing results are reported within the required time frame.
• Assists with safety training and resolves personnel issues.
• Provides input and documentation for performance reviews.
• Manages quality assurance documentation of personnel.
• Oversees training and orientation of personnel.
• Maintains standards of accreditation for The Joint Commission (TJC) and The College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Requirements

• High School Degree or GED (required)
• Associate Degree, Allied Health Sciences – Phlebotomy with additional coursework (preferred)
• Phlebotomist Certification (preferred)
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting (preferred)
• Previous experience in leadership position in customer service environment (preferred)
• 3 years phlebotomy experience with EKG experience (preferred)
