Responsibilities
- Coordinates workflow related to all aspects of laboratory support services.
- Processes specimens and performs phlebotomy duties as needed.
- Maintains and troubleshoots sample and customer issues.
- Ensures all testing results are reported within the required time frame.
- Assists with safety training and resolves personnel issues.
- Provides input and documentation for performance reviews.
- Manages quality assurance documentation of personnel.
- Oversees training and orientation of personnel.
- Maintains standards of accreditation for The Joint Commission (TJC) and The College of American Pathologists (CAP).
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED (required)
- Associate Degree, Allied Health Sciences – Phlebotomy with additional coursework (preferred)
- Phlebotomist Certification (preferred)
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting (preferred)
- Previous experience in leadership position in customer service environment (preferred)
- 3 years phlebotomy experience with EKG experience (preferred)
