A Day in the Life

As a Full-Time Laboratory Equipment Technician in our Anaheim, CA Laboratory, you’ll join a collaborative team where your attention to detail and hands-on technical skills help ensure our environmental testing equipment is ready for every project. From preparing and maintaining specialized sampling equipment to supporting laboratory operations, you’ll play an essential role in delivering safe, accurate, and on-time results for our clients.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is $18 - $23/hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Department and Schedule

Department: Air (Equipment)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Lab Equipment Technicians oversees the daily operation, maintenance and repair of environmental sampling equipment. This includes cleaning, certifying and maintaining the inventory and support of laboratory operations.
• Daily shipping, receiving and processing of equipment request and samples based on clients’ needs.
• Preparation, calibration, certification and repair of air sampling equipment.
• Maintaining clean laboratory areas.
• Maintaining organized records of equipment requests and fulfillment.
• Tracking inventory from multiple sites.
• Complying with Onterris Quality Assurance Program and other policies.
• Complying with Onterris Health and Safety Plan.
• Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong MS Office skills
• Must have strong mechanical skills and enjoy working with tools on a daily basis
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and to lift/manipulate smaller weight items throughout the day
• Ability to operate computers and standard lab/office equipment
• May require weekends, holidays, and overtime

Skills

• Knowledge of general lab practices and lab safety
• Database/LIMS experience is highly preferred
• Prior warehouse and/or shipping and receiving experience

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Works in an office, laboratory, and/or warehouse environment
• Sitting, standing, and walking
• Must have the ability to stand and move about for approximately 80+% of the shift.
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and to lift/manipulate smaller weight items throughout the day.
• Ability to operate computers and standard lab/office equipment
• May require weekends, holidays, and overtime
