About the role
The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University seeks qualified applicants for a Laboratory Coordinator in the ENDEAVOR Laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operation of chemical laboratories in ENDEAVOR and support the safety and waste management program in ENDEAVOR and North Campus Laboratories.
- Ensure that laboratories, makerspaces, and related facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Provide technical and operational support to faculty, instructors, students, and facility users.
- Report to the Director of ENDEAVOR regarding operations, safety, maintenance, inventory, and budgetary needs.
- Serve as the primary safety authority within ENDEAVOR laboratories and related facilities.
Requirements
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
- Four years related experience.
- Certifications, Registrations, And/or Licenses: Have before hire and maintain after hire a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, or equivalent industrial experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field or professional experience.
- Additional training in industrial safety, occupational health, or risk management.
- Two or more years of experience managing academic or industrial laboratories.
- Experience implementing safety programs aligned with EHS, NFPA, and EPA regulations.
- Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory equipment.
Skills, Proficiencies, And/or Knowledge
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment and prepare technical documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field or professional experience.

Pay
Hiring Range: $45,000 - $63,000
Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
