Will process anatomic pathology and cytology specimens; assists pathologists and histotechs, as needed. Will supervise or lead lab assistant I and II positions, as requested. Completes prioritization, receipt, registration and distribution of specimens. Has responsibility for sendout/reference lab shipping, tracking and billing. Will perform waived testing, as requested. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.Certifications: Phlebotomy Certification where state law requires.Preferred RequirementsExperience: Basic laboratory computer/lab information system experience preferred.Education: Associates degree in laboratory or medical related field from an accredited institution preferred.Certifications: Completion of formal phlebotomy training program and/or national phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT or similar preferred Organization Description Established in 1961, St. Josephs Hospital in Tucson is home to the Carondelet Neurological Institute and the Carondelet Joint Replacement Center.
