La Palma Park Partnership & Development VISTA
This GOALS Success Through Service VISTA project strengthens GOALS’ long-term capacity to reduce poverty-related barriers that limit low-income and at-risk children and families in Anaheim from accessing safe, consistent recreation, physical education, enrichment, and community-development opportunities during and after the redevelopment of La Palma Park.
About the role
The VISTA member will develop, pilot, evaluate, and transfer sustainable systems for stakeholder research, City and community partnership development, redevelopment engagement, school and community collaboration, funding and sponsorship development, evaluation, and organizational transition. This includes creating stakeholder maps, outreach protocols, public-information materials, partnership tools, redevelopment resources, funding systems, reusable grant and sponsorship materials, and evaluation and sustainability tools that help GOALS build strong, lasting community impact.
Responsibilities
- Research and organize stakeholders, create outreach and meeting materials, and build a stakeholder database.
- Support community and City partnership development.
- Research funding opportunities and develop reusable grant and sponsorship resources.
- Create public-information and community-engagement tools.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders.
- Assist with evaluation, documentation, staff training, and transition tools to ensure GOALS can carry the work forward after the service term.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.

Schedule
