About the role

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by helping them maintain their daily routines and engage in community activities.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support individuals with disabilities in their daily lives.
• Assist with household maintenance, meal preparation, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and other personal care tasks.
• Aid individuals in attending medical appointments, banking, and community events.
• Administer medications as per Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines.
• Evacuate individuals from the home safely in case of emergencies.
• Maintain certifications and comply with agency policies and DDS regulations.

Requirements

• Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Experience working in a residential setting with individuals who have highly behavioral needs.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in the qualifications section.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and work flexible schedules.

Pay

$17.50 - $19.00 per hour, with paid training.

Schedule

Part-time: Sunday 9a-7p, Friday 3p-11p, Saturday 9a-3p.
