Kitchen Supervisor - NAS Pensacola
About the role
The Kitchen Supervisor oversees daily kitchen operations and manages assigned areas. They ensure quality customer service and must demonstrate knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage kitchen staff and operations
- Ensure compliance with Tri-Service Standards
- Manage customer interactions and team dynamics
- Perform administrative tasks using basic computer skills
- Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in food service or related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience
- Experience with government personnel and contracted services
- Knowledge of Tri-Service Standards
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Eligibility for work assignments on specified contracts
- Passing organization screening requirements, including background checks
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking frequently
- Reaching with hands and arms
- Squatting, stooping, kneeling, reaching above and forward
- Lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs., occasionally up to 40 lbs.
- Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Moderate noise levels at workplace
- Indoor work environment
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals
