Kitchen Manager - Pump & Pantry

About the role

The Pump Kitchen Manager oversees kitchen operations at the Pump & Pantry location, ensuring high-quality food service across multiple brands.

Responsibilities

• Ordering supplies
• Executing the food production plan
• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
• Ensuring food safety compliance
• Training staff for efficient and profitable services
• Overseeing food preparation and service across all brands
• Preparing food items according to the make sheet recipes
• Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the kitchen
• Reporting maintenance, customer, and personnel issues to upper management
• Maintaining portion control, minimizing waste, and following proper waste procedures
• Utilizing production planning tools to ensure correct food at the correct times
• Conducting regular quality checks on food preparation and service
• Ensuring all personnel maintain professional appearance and proper uniform standards
• Traning staff on policies, procedures, and performance expectations
• Performing opening and closing procedures, including required documentation
• Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations
• Providing friendly, competent customer service across all food brands
• Filling in as necessary to maintain kitchen operations during staffing shortages
• Assisting with other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of six months food handling or food service experience
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude
• Flexibility and adaptability to change as needed
• Strong communication skills
• Professional appearance and attire
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and any other required shift(s)
• Reliable transportation and phone access
• Ability to communicate in English (if applicable)
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and following product specifications
• Available for physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, walking, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing, sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
