About the role

Welcome to Rosie’s Gaming Emporium in Vinton, VA. We are seeking a Kitchen, Crew member to join our dynamic team. This position involves food preparation, guest service, and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Greets each guest upon arrival; receives cash, credit cards, or comps from customers as payment.
• Fulfills cashier ordering process to meet department standards and enhance guest experience.
• Ensures accuracy in computing bills, making correct change, and issuing receipts.
• Closes registers at the end of each shift, including counting down drawers and completing paperwork.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment by cleaning and emptying dishwashing machines.
• Prepares various dishes, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of related experience and/or training in related fields.
• Must obtain and maintain Serv-Safe certification.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of gaming operations, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to multi-task.

Skills

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
• Understanding of safety and sanitation rules and practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of fire and departmental safety procedures.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and handling techniques.
• Ability to lift, operate equipment, and use knives safely.
