About the role

This kitchen crew position is responsible for food preparation, guest service, cash handling, and serving food in accordance with departmental standards at Rosie’s Gaming Emporium in Hampton, VA.

Responsibilities

• Greets each guest upon arrival; receives cash, credit cards, or comps from customers as payment.
• Fulfills cashier ordering process to ensure standards for order taking are met and creates great guest experiences.
• Prepares cash drawer and sets up shift 10 minutes prior to appointment time.
• Ensures accuracy in computing bills on cash register; makes correct change and issues receipts.
• Closes register at end of each shift to include counting down drawer and completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment by cleaning work area and equipment used in food preparation.
• Performs side work and completes all assigned tasks prior to leaving shift.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of gaming operations, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to cook, clean, and handle cash/credit card transactions.

Skills

Demonstrates knowledge of fire and departmental safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of related experience and/or training in related field.
• Must obtain and maintain Serv-Safe certification.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
