Kitchen Coordinator (29-Hour Part-time with Benefits)
Overview of Position
Under the supervision of the Site Director, the Kitchen Coordinator will play a critical role on our team by maintaining State Health Standards in the kitchen, training volunteers, managing inventory, and building successful relationships with vendors, team members and students.
Spiritual Requirements
- Has a personal and saving relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that demonstrates the Word of God, and is in regular fellowship with other members in a Bible-believing church.
- Agrees with the By The Hand Club Doctrinal Statement and adheres to the Employee Biblical Standards of Living.
- Shows by example, the importance of Scripture memorization, Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and Christian fellowship.
- Participates in weekly team prayer and devotion.
- Has completed an evangelism course and is trained and prepared to share the gospel with anyone who inquires.
- Works with leadership to monitor and enforce policies and procedures to further the By The Hand's religious purpose and religious freedom.

- Knowledge of nutrition services, including child nutrition and Health Department guidelines.
- Ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the Site Director.

Education and Experience
- Absociates degree or equivalent preferred.
- Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM).
- Three years of experience in food service; experience with school nutrition programs preferred.
Work Environment
This job operates primarily in a kitchen setting.
The employee is regularly required to speak, listen, walk and stand for extended periods of time. This role may require you to lift up to 50 pounds.
