Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare and heat precooked meals from the ANS kitchen to proper serving temperatures.
- Plate and serve high-quality lunch and dinner meals for a high volume of participants, ensuring appealing presentation and satisfaction.
- Portion meals accurately based on program needs, minimizing waste and adhering to Colorado Food Program guidelines.
- Serve meals respectfully using a Trauma-Informed Approach, ensuring participants feel valued and heard.
- Encourage participant feedback when appropriate to improve meal service.
- Requisition of food and supplies using VOA menu plans to support efficient kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment, following all health and safety protocols.
- Ensure food safety through proper temperature control and storage of unused items.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and appropriately.
- Prepare meals for special events as directed by the Food Service Project Manager.
- Track and record meals served in the designated system.
- Order food and kitchen supplies weekly from the VOA kitchen.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $19.29-$21.00 /hour
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Part time; Saturday and Sunday 10am-6:30pm with possible additional coverage as needed

Requirements
- One-year related experience in cooking or similar production facilities.
- Ability to read and write to follow menu.
- Ability to follow basic kitchen mathematical calculations.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds multiple times during a shift.
- Stand for 8-hour shift, and visually, auditorily monitor milieu dining.
- ServSafe certified or ability to acquire certification within 3 months of hire.
