Job Responsibilities
- Supervision of Kinship Home & Placements: Conduct regular home visits and other contacts to assess the living environment, complete required contacts and ensure adherence to DCS regulations and organization goals.
- Document all home visits and contracts in EHR.
- Offer training and resources to Kinship parents, enhancing their skills in providing care and support to children in kinship care.
- Make referrals for services as needed.
- Safety And Compliance: Ensure that all kinship homes comply with state and federal regulations regarding safety, health, and welfare standards.
- If applicable, assist kinship parents with foster care licensure process; collect and/or guide foster parents through the process.
- Respond promptly to any safety concerns or incidents, taking necessary actions to protect children in care.
- Maintain licensed kinship homes in accordance with DCS/OLR regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year experience working with child caregivers and or child welfare.
- Regulatory Minimum: 21 years of age.
- Able to pass a minimum 5 panel drug test & submit to regular screening.
- DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
- Maintain a clear Central Registry Background Check.
- CPR, First Aid, (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
- Current, valid Arizona Driver's License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements.
