About the role
Bet Tzedek Legal Services seeks a Program Coordinator to join the Kinship/SIJS and Foster Youth Immigration Team. This role provides logistical support and technical assistance in placing immigration matters with Pro Bono partners. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills to deliver effective support to the immigration team and Pro Bono partners.
This position is eligible for Bet Tzedek’s hybrid/remote workplace designation. Candidates must be located in the Southern California region and able to commute if needed.
Responsibilities
- Support the Justice for Children and Families team in placing immigration matters with Pro Bono partners.
- Draft external-facing materials, including Pro Bono placement memos and resources for immigration matters (USCIS, EOIR, federal litigation).
- Create how-to guides and training materials for immigration matters, and curate a WIX site housing Pro Bono training resources.
- Communicate with clients, staff, and Pro Bono partners via phone, email, and mail.
- Prepare and organize correspondence, reports, and other documents using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Lawyaw.
- Assist with administrative aspects of updating Legal Server and maintain well-organized files and records.
- Monitor and triage incoming communications.
- Perform clerical work, including photocopying, scanning, filing, and mailing.
- Participate in and/or lead in-person and virtual community outreach workshops and education events.
- Support supervisor with data and grant reporting.
- Coordinate with internal staff to support the Justice for Children and Families team as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree (required).
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a professional office setting (preferred).
- Ease with oral and written communication in English and Spanish, including oral interpretation and written translation (required).
- Excellent time management, project management, and problem-solving skills (required).
- Exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented (required).
- Excellent people skills (required) and experience working with clients in crisis or distress (strongly preferred).
- Willingness to train and work with volunteer attorneys and students (required).
- Familiarity with Legal Server or other cloud-based case management systems (preferred).

Pay
$75,331.28 - $76,611.66 (based on experience and qualifications).
