Description
Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and now operates across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson's continuum of care includes prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed, aiming to build resilience in clients (ages 0-18) and their families.
What will you do as a Foster Care Coordinator?
- Support the success and stability of foster placements by providing case management and support to foster families
- Coordinate services and manage documentation and compliance tasks
- Collaborate with internal staff and community partners
- Conduct home visits
- Engage in marketing and outreach efforts to enhance the program's social media presence
- Develop content or materials for outreach
- Participate in on-call weekend rotation for 24/7 support

Requirements
- Valid Driver License and meeting any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Meets designation as a Qualified Professional in SC
- Passes a drug screening test and extensive background check
- Ability to work primarily with clients in Greenville, SC
