Description
Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and now operates across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson's continuum of care includes prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All programs are trauma-informed and evidence-based/evidence-informed, aiming to build resilience in clients (ages 0-18) and their families.
What will you do as a Foster Care Coordinator?
- Support the success and stability of foster placements by providing case management and support to foster families
- Coordinate services and manage documentation and compliance tasks
- Collaborate with internal staff and community partners
- Develop content or materials for outreach and engage with the community to recruit and support new foster homes
- Conduct home visits and provide case management
- Manage outreach and engagement activities
- Participate in an on-call weekend rotation for 24/7 support and coverage for foster families in the Greenville area

Requirements
- Must have a valid Driver License and meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as it pertains to the department you are in.
- Education requirement for this individual contributor role is: Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software, excellent written and oral communication skills
- Meets designation as a Qualified Professional in SC
