King's Kids Club Group Assistant (Part-Time)

Position Summary

The King’s Kids Club (KKC) Group Assistant is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, fun and thriving age-appropriate environment under the general supervision of the Director and Lead Teacher. Perform tasks independently and in a timely manner and work together as part of a team with the group leader and other support staff while assisting the children.

Duties

• Support the Director in maintaining a quality program that upholds the standards, goals and overall mission of King’s Kids Club.
• Supervise students in small & large group settings.
• Implement daily program activities. May be asked to assist in planning activities.
• Aid the Director and other KKC staff by maintaining a clean well-functioning safe environment.
• Set up the area daily.
• Respond directly to the needs of students and creatively solve problems and resolve concerns with students.
• Know and comply with King’s policies and procedures.
• Intentionally develop positive relationships with students and their families.
• Ensures that equipment is clean, safe, set up and stored properly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• CHRIST CENTERED: Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
• One year of experience working with children.
• LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Have or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire the following Portable Background Check Card, HIV and blood borne pathogen training.
• SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE: Office 365, Check in/out software, Ability to use internet on the work desktop, laptop, iPad and iPhone.

Preferred Qualifications

• LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION: Food Handler’s Permit.
