About the role
As An Integral Part Of The Childcare Team, Our KidTown Lead Inspire Even Our Youngest Members Through Movement, Community, And Personal Attention. They Encourage Active, Social, And Healthier Lives By Fostering an environment of movement-based fun in a safe and comfortable setting.
Responsibilities
- Leading activities such as arts and crafts, story time, and games
- Communicating both positive and negative behaviors to parents at pick-up
- Train and evaluate staff
- Keep the space clean, free of germs and messes to ensure the well-being of staff and children
- Maintain confidentiality among co-workers
- Interface and maintain effective relationships with administration and associates in a team-orientated environment
- Help plan, promote, and implement programs on a seasonal basis
- Facilitate seasonal family events
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working with children in an educationally supportive environment
- At least 1 year leadership or supervisor experience
- Comfortable with children ages 8 weeks up to 15 years old
- Take initiative and ownership to a position and lead youth members with confidence and care
- Demonstrate outstanding verbal communication skills with children and adults
- Have high energy levels and can keep children moving in a variety of activities
- Display a willingness to grow with the changing needs of members and our space
- Maintain a positive attitude and enjoy working with children
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willing to stand for long periods of time
- Move from seated to standing position quickly to attend to child’s needs
Skills
- Child CPR, First Aid & AED certification (Midtown provides this training for Associates)
Pay
Hourly rate: $18.00 - $20.00, depending on experience
