Kids Care Leader

About the role

GoTEN’s Kids Ministry in Phoenix, AZ provides a safe and nurturing space for refugee children while their parents attend English or Sewing classes. We are seeking a care leader to facilitate a structured yet engaging environment where children can learn, play, and build social skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities that encourage learning, creativity, and social interaction
• Maintain a structured and engaging atmosphere
• Manage and organize materials for lessons and playtime
• Support the leader in maintaining a structured and engaging atmosphere
• Assist in welcoming and orienting new children to the class
• Work alongside volunteers to ensure each child receives the attention and care they need

Requirements

• A love for kids
• A heart for serving refugee families
• A willingness to support the director in carrying out the program

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children is helpful but not required

Skills

• Ability to create a secure and supportive space
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
