About the role
The successful candidate will have demonstrable technical expertise in kidney/pancreas transplant surgery, leadership/business analytic skills, a track record of academic achievement, and at least five years post-fellowship experience. Faculty appointment and rank in the Department of Surgery and Albert Einstein College of Medicine will be commensurate with the applicant’s record of achievement.
Responsibilities
- Perform kidney and pancreas transplant surgeries
- Contribute to the academic and research activities of the department
- Collaborate with the transplant team to optimize organ utilization
- Lead and mentor junior surgeons in the field
- Participate in the development and implementation of new surgical techniques and protocols
- Engage in clinical and educational activities related to transplant surgery
Requirements
- Demonstrated technical expertise in kidney/pancreas transplant surgery
- At least five years post-fellowship experience
- Leadership and business analytic skills
- A track record of academic achievement
Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in General Surgery and/or Transplant Surgery
- Current New York State Medical License
Skills
- Robotic experience is a plus

$500-$700K (based on experience and potential academic rank)
Schedule
MON-FRI, Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM-5 PM, Scheduled Daily Hours: 8.5 HOURS
