Kidney Transplant Surgeon

About the role

The successful candidate will have demonstrable technical expertise in kidney/pancreas transplant surgery, leadership/business analytic skills, a track record of academic achievement, and at least five years post-fellowship experience. Faculty appointment and rank in the Department of Surgery and Albert Einstein College of Medicine will be commensurate with the applicant’s record of achievement.

Responsibilities

• Perform kidney and pancreas transplant surgeries
• Contribute to the academic and research activities of the department
• Collaborate with the transplant team to optimize organ utilization
• Lead and mentor junior surgeons in the field
• Participate in the development and implementation of new surgical techniques and protocols
• Engage in clinical and educational activities related to transplant surgery

Requirements

• Demonstrated technical expertise in kidney/pancreas transplant surgery
• At least five years post-fellowship experience
• Leadership and business analytic skills
• A track record of academic achievement

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in General Surgery and/or Transplant Surgery
• Current New York State Medical License

Skills

• Robotic experience is a plus

$500-$700K (based on experience and potential academic rank)

MON-FRI, Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM-5 PM, Scheduled Daily Hours: 8.5 HOURS
