Kid Zone (Part-time)

About the role

The Kid Zone is a fun, interactive and developmentally appropriate space for children age 0‑7 to visit while parents use the Y facility. The incumbent's primary responsibility is to provide a positive, sensitive, caring, safe and fun environment for children in the Kids Zone. The incumbent is a team player who demonstrates strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills. The incumbent accepts, demonstrates and teaches the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, sensitive, caring, safe and fun environment for children in the Kid Zone.
• Ensure the space remains developmentally appropriate and interactive for children aged 0‑7.
• Act as a team player, demonstrating strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Accept, demonstrate and teach the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Requirements

• Accept and demonstrate the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
• Be able to perform physical tasks required for the position.
• Obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry clearances (the Y will assist if you do not have current clearances).

Pay

$13.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday: 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
