About the role
LanguageLine Solutions is hiring interpreters to work remotely from their homes. The company provides training and certification in the industry’s best practices.
Responsibilities
- Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
- Render accurate interpretations between Kham and English speakers.
- Adapt to various industries including healthcare, insurance, finance, and law.
- Ensure confidentiality and respect cultural differences.
- Work flexible hours to fit the needs of clients.
- Respond to calls involving sensitive topics like end-of-life conversations and sexual orientation.
Requirements
- Fluency in Kham and English.
- Cultural competency and understanding of regional accents.
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- At least 18 years old.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write Kham and English.
Qualifications
- Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
- Adaptable to LLS technology enhancements.
- Available to work flexible hours.
Skills
- Strong language skills in Kham and English.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Confidentiality and professionalism.
- Technical proficiency with company-provided software.

$0.80 - $0.95 per minute.

This is a remote position where interpreters work from their own homes.
