Key Customer Manager, East-Atlantic
About the role
The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Key Customer Manager (KCM) will have three primary strategic imperatives for Biogen:
- Shaping the MS Treatment Dialogue
- Improving the customer experience with Biogen
- Increasing the awareness of the Biogen MS portfolio
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Key Medical Expert (KME) and Key Account engagement plans in collaboration with the respective Regional Sales Director to ensure long-term success of the Biogen MS portfolio at the Division and Account Level.
- Facilitate a ONE BIOGEN strategic engagement approach for key accounts in the territory by identifying opportunities and evolving trends that create collaborations where patient access to care increases and quality of care improves.
- Engage in regular interactions with top KMEs, Prescribers, and Administrators to understand and collaborate on account needs, and identify opportunities for expanded partnerships.
- Interact routinely and collaboratively with local sales teams and cross-functional partners (including marketing, managed care, and patient services) to improve engagement in accounts and increase Biogen trust and value with Key Customers.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience.
- BS/BA required; MBA preferred.
- Driving is an essential duty; candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must demonstrate a long-term track record of adherence to Corporate Compliance Policies.
- Job Level: Management.
Preferred Skills
- Ideally 2+ years of experience in the MS Disease State or other related chronic disease.
- Account Management Experience preferred; experience navigating complex accounts critical for success.
- Previous management and/or cross-functional experience strongly preferred.
- Technical knowledge of healthcare reimbursement from a patient and provider perspective.
- Ability to establish effective relationships through mutual respect and trust.
- Comfort with ambiguity and evolving processes/structures.
- Ability to identify issues quickly and develop timely, compliant recommendations.
- Strong presentation skills for groups or individuals.
- Advanced understanding of Biogen’s culture, policies, practices, trends, and technology.
- Strong regional and national Managed Care knowledge.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to navigate between Biogen and HCP offices.
- Understanding of patient privacy laws including HIPAA and similar state laws.
- Advanced understanding of compliance with OIG & regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous and complex environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Pay
The base compensation range for this role is $184,000.00–$253,000.00. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
Regular employees are eligible to receive both short-term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize future potential based on individual, business unit, and company performance.
