Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow assigned customer accounts across the United States
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Promote a full product line of hydraulic, filtration, and fluid power solutions
  • Increase sales revenue and profit margins within assigned accounts
  • Execute the company's corporate sales strategy
  • Maintain accurate and current CRM data, account notes, and customer files
  • Provide prompt follow-up and resolution to customer needs, questions, and communications
  • Set sales goals, new business targets, and account objectives
  • Report on account activity, sales progress, customer needs, and market opportunities
  • Stay current on industry trends and serve as a resource to customers and internal leadership
  • Monitor competitor sales activity and market efforts
  • Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations for customer meetings
  • Participate in internal sales and marketing meetings
  • Travel regularly to visit current and prospective customers, including occasional overnight travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Associate degree, CFPS certification, or strong practical fluid power experience also considered
  • Hydraulics, fluid power, or filtration experience strongly preferred
  • Mobile fluid power or industrial fluid power experience is a plus
  • Technical sales, key account management, account management, or customer-facing engineering support experience preferred
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Self-starting attitude with the ability to manage customer activity independently
  • Ability to prepare and deliver effective customer presentations
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail with CRM and customer documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and customer priorities at one time
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
