About the role
RXO is a leading provider of transportation solutions, using cutting-edge technology to revolutionize the industry. This role offers a compensation range of $45,000 - $50,000, with potential for bonuses or commissions based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for RXO’s top intermodal and drayage clients, ensuring consistent communication and customer satisfaction.
- Strategically develop and implement mode-specific solutions to expand existing customer accounts.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and carrier partners to secure competitive terms, including rate negotiations, capacity alignment, and specialized equipment needs (such as containers, chassis, rail).
- Maintain a deep understanding of intermodal and drayage networks, including port operations, rail providers, and inland distribution, to proactively meet client needs.
- Manage shipments from cradle to grave, ensuring execution, milestone tracking, and issue resolution across port, rail, and final-mile delivery.
- Promote the integrity of each shipment and the RXO brand by adhering to standard processes and best practices.
- Regularly update internal systems and tracking tools to maintain accurate reporting, visibility, and performance metrics.
- Maintain billing accuracy, manage accessorials, and control costs to ensure efficient and mutually beneficial operations.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
- At least 1 year of professional experience, with 5+ years of experience in a transportation or logistics environment, preferably with intermodal and drayage exposure preferred.
- A strong understanding of port operations, rail networks, and containerized freight movement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
