About the role

Maintains regular communication with assigned distributor-wholesale partners. Assists Procurement to determine accuracy of incoming items and quantity arriving.
Monitors and manages inventory levels for distributors and a 3PL warehouse.
Resolves any inventory stock issues quickly including out of stocks, delays, and mis-shipments.
Maintains regular sales communication and support with customers/buyers and wholesale-distributors to ensure steady and timely flow of product to stores.
Serves as the liaison and communicator between retail customers and the wholesale-distributors regarding new commitments, daily shipments, and product launches.
Prepares order consolidations and coordinates trucking needs with our logistics team.
Strategizes with logistics to reorganize and reroute shipments to meet program deadlines.
Compiles and relays wholesale-distributor information including item set up criteria, FOB pricing calculations, PO coordination.
Enters wholesaler-distributor orders into NetSuite.
Strategizes with distributors to reduce margins where possible to ensure the best prices.
Encourages sales on wine opportunities.
Works along side sales with the retail buyers to secure new programs and orders.
Supports sales offers through coordinating sample deliveries to retail buyers.
Works with Accounting and Finance to ensure billing is correct, approves invoices, issues credits.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains regular communication with assigned distributor-wholesale partners.
  • Aids Procurement in verifying incoming items and quantities.
  • Manages inventory levels for distributors and a 3PL warehouse.
  • Solves inventory stock issues promptly, addressing out-of-stock situations, delays, and mis-shipments.
  • Communicates regularly with retail customers and wholesale-distributors to maintain a steady flow of products.
  • Serves as the intermediary between retail customers and wholesale-distributors for new commitments, daily shipments, and product launches.
  • Organizes and coordinates order consolidations and trucking needs with the logistics team.
  • Collaborates with logistics to rearrange and redirect shipments to meet program deadlines.
  • Collects and disseminates information about wholesale-distributors, including item setup criteria, FOB pricing calculations, and PO coordination.
  • Enters wholesaler-distributor orders into NetSuite.
  • Collaborates with distributors to minimize margins and secure the best prices.
  • Promotes sales opportunities in wine and other areas.
  • Supports sales efforts by working alongside retail buyers to secure new programs and orders.
  • Facilitates sales offers through coordinating sample deliveries to retail buyers.
  • Collaborates with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate billing, invoice approval, and credit issuance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP systems preferred.
  • Experience in the wine and spirits industry preferred.
  • Self-starter.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Two to three years of account managing experience.
  • Two to three years of customer service experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
