Key Account Coordinator
Status: Non-Exempt (hourly) | Department: Sales
About the Role
The Key Account Coordinator will provide value-added services for our field sales team. This role is responsible for working with the sales team regarding pricing, proposals, processing purchase orders, and various other administrative tasks for our customers. The position requires the ability to address a multitude of analytical and administrative support needs promptly and professionally, while also requiring effective communication with other departments and customer contacts to achieve business goals. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential to success in this role.
The ideal candidate must possess robust administrative skills and analytical aptitude, including proficiency with a variety of software applications and strong computer literacy, most importantly Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively throughout the business.
- Communicate regularly with internal project team members to clarify project expectations and meet commitments.
- Provide sales team with support for presentations and proposals that clearly demonstrate the value proposition and commercial structure.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for internal business leaders outlining progress towards department goals and other related reporting as required.
- Advise sales team related to customer-specific pricing; maintain documentation related to all standard and non-standard pricing scenarios, and commercial documentation archives.
- Ensure CRM data is accurate and complete.
- Review and process purchase orders while ensuring that appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing are included as applicable.
- Complete all necessary paperwork from start to completion of the sale. Ensure delivery dates and customer expectations are met.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between sales and operations organizations, and other key business areas, to ensure accuracy in demand planning and forecasting to achieve revenue goals and meet customer expectations.
- Assist internal partners with customer sales transactions.
- Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions. Maintain a positive relationship with the customer.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or associate’s degree required in business, marketing, communications, or other related field of study with an additional 2 years of relevant work experience.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in sales, sales operations, marketing, finance, or a related field.
- Experience in any of the following is highly valued: Sales, Marketing, Economics.
- Computer and software systems skills as applicable to the position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel (intermediate or advanced level required), Outlook, and Salesforce.com (highly preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.

Pay
Pay Rate: $27.50 - $40.00 per hour. Base salary is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. The above pay range may not take into account local geographic pay variations.
