Kennel Attendant

About the role

This position is a key role in our kennel, providing daily care for boarded animals and assisting with kennel maintenance. The Kennel Attendant interacts with the clinical team and clients, supporting a customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for boarded animals, including bathing, grooming, exercising, feeding, and administering medication
• Monitor and report changes in animal behavior, health, or concerns to the Vet or Hospital Manager
• Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning, including cages and laundry
• Maintain animal records such as weight, physical condition, treatments, medications, and food intake
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Doctor, Hospital Manager, or Kennel Manager
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, stoop, bend, and stand for long periods
• Travel may be required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or relevant education and work experience
• Previous experience with animals preferred
• Customer service attitude
• Organizational skills
• Team-oriented and enjoys working as part of a team
• Solid communication skills
