Kennel Assistant
Animal Care Center of Cartersville is seeking a detail-oriented, self-driven individual to join our team as a Veterinary Kennel Assistant. This role focuses on patient husbandry, care, and general housekeeping to support our veterinary team and ensure the comfort of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care for boarding dogs and cats, including administering medications, feeding, walking, and kennel/cage maintenance.
- Monitor patients for medical or behavioral concerns and document observations in detail.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked hospital environment through janitorial and housekeeping duties in kennels, common spaces, and treatment areas.
- Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
Requirements
- 1+ years of kennel assistant, boarding, doggy daycare, FFA/4H, or related animal care experience preferred.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, attention to detail, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Passion for animal care with a willingness to learn and grow within the veterinary profession.

Pay
$14–17 per hour.
Schedule
Flexible full-time or part-time position with availability needed Monday–Friday and rotating weekends.
