About the Role

Design, plan, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom culture with clear expectations for behavior and academic growth.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor student learning through formative and summative assessments, using data to inform and differentiate instruction.
• Maintain open, regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and goals.
• Integrate educational technology into daily lessons to enhance learning and digital literacy.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and school leadership to support school-wide initiatives and student intervention plans.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, and school-wide events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (required for teacher, librarian, or counselor positions, except designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) roles).
• If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you must obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license within 3 years and enroll in a program immediately to continue employment.
• Must satisfactorily demonstrate active pursuit of Hawaii licensing requirements each year of employment, as set by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB).
• Upon hire, you must have a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit.

Pay
