Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons aligned with the school’s American curriculum framework, policies, and external assessment requirements.
  • Differentiate and individualize learning to ensure each student is supported and makes outstanding progress.
  • Regularly assess student learning, both in-class and at-home, providing targeted feedback to drive progress and ensure all students reach their potential.
  • Establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and encouraged to take risks in their learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and actively engage in professional development to maintain high educational standards.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular program, including leading clubs and participating in whole-school initiatives, to create a well-rounded educational experience.
  • Maintain open, constructive communication with parents to build strong partnerships that support student progress and individual well-being.

Requirements

  • Near-native or native English proficiency.
  • Genuine passion for education with the ability to engage, motivate, and positively impact young learners.
  • Proven track record of excellence in personal, academic, and professional achievements.
  • In-depth subject expertise and the ability to inspire students and support outstanding progress.
  • Experience assessing student progress, providing targeted feedback, and preparing students for external assessments.
  • Experience in pastoral care and promoting student well-being, with a focus on individual attention and high standards of welfare.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and build strong relationships with families.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive, flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in teaching or a related field.
  • Additional studies in education preferred.
